How to scan for codes in my 2007 HCH
It seems that a standard OBD II code reader will not read my car's stored codes.
I think I need a "Scan Gauge II" for this job.
Can anyone confirm that one can read for stored codes (in an '07 HCH) using a "Scan Gauge II"?
If yes, what is the procedure to use the tool (just a thumbnail sketch please)?
If no, how can one read stored codes prior to a visit to the dealership (so that everyone is 'on the same page', information wise)?

Advance Auto Parts and some others will read your codes for free. Just ask them if there is a charge.
