HIT 100 TODAY!!!
MPH not MPG today in my HCH II...
The car handled it great and actually it came on pretty fast all things considered.
Had a nice open stretch but traffic ahead only let me hit it for a second.
It was nice watching the battery charge and MPG hit over 100 while the Speedo read over 90 as I took my foot off the accelerator...

Re: HIT 100 TODAY!!!
While gas mileage won't be terrific at those speeds, it should fare quite well compared to most vehicles for MPG as the car itself is so aerodynamic (air resistance is huge at 100mph, 4 times what it is at 50mph). The CVT should also be a slight advantage over an automatic, which would need to drop down a gear on most cars.

Re: HIT 100 TODAY!!!
Actually live on Long Island. Hit that on the Loop Parkway (2.5 mile straight road, with hills and 1 drawbridge, 2 lanes, moderate traffic-actually high amount for that day, and NEVER a police officer!)
I can't hit 110 on the road-also don't believe the tires are rated high enough.

You should be able to do better than 100 over the causeway bridge (think that's the one, leads from southern state to captree). It's a real long stretch, half of its slopes down, never any police (at least none that are stationary). Good luck.

Re: HIT 100 TODAY!!!
I've got about 20,000 miles logged on my car now. Didn't push it past 80 til about 3000 miles. Made sure the car was properly broken in before I pushed the smaller motor.

On that road I hit 118 in my old bug (electronically limited) and 125 in my old Acuras (My old Integra and newer TL-S).
