Dealer just quoted me a large fee to replace hepa cabin filter. Can anyone tell me location and how to replace?

FWIW, I found them as low as $15-17 at various online Honda parts sites.

 

I finally got the courage to replace the cabin filter on my 2006 HCH, after I read about a girl who said she replaced hers by herself. Saving $100.00 for the installation that the dealer quoted was also a big incentive. Anyway I am not computer literate enough to post pictures, but it is real easy.
Step 1 Empty the contents of the glove box
Step 2 Grab the glove box using both hands on the innermost portion, squeeze the sides towards the middle, and let the glove box fall all the way.
Step 3 It you did the above right, you will now see the filter casing, press the tabs on each side towards the center and pull out filter.
Step 4 Take out dirty filter and replace, taking time to ensure that the air flow is as illustrated on the filter.
Step 5 Put the casing back, and snap the glove box into place.

5 minutes and you save $100.00
