I appreciate the help.
Yes, 32-36 hours. Critical that you get all cells to true 100%

For future maintenance, negative recals are a good trigger.

Thanks again. Before your most recent recommendation I was planning on going ahead with another charge/discharge/charge cycle. I disconnected the 12V battery and removed the hybrid battery but ended up reinstalling it. When I went to use the car earlier today the battery gauge showed zero bars and the engine started with the starter rather than the IMA which I thought was odd. First time that's happened during my brief ownership. Outside temperature was about 25 degrees, so not very cold at all. The IPU fan also repeated the whining/screeching noise it made previously. Once the engine started the car force charged for a bit until reaching four bars or so. The car had sat for about 48 hours. I didn't have any recals during my 60 miles of driving and the battery seemed to perform okay.

Not sure if that is significant but not exactly confidence inspiring either.

Disconnecting the 12V completely wipes all battery data. The only thing I can account for the 12V crank is the tap voltages were too low for the car to start.

Yep. Not confidence inspiring, but 60 miles of no recal driving doesn't suck.

Thanks for the quick reply. Can grid charging/discharging improve self discharge? From what I've read from your other posts, it sounds like self discharge is the common issue with the HCH2 battery.

Nothing improves SD. The only hope is that they are all equally crappy, and all you need to do is drive it VERY regularly.

That makes sense. I thought that my old Insight battery was crappy, but in comparison it was fantastic compared to this car.

I will continue to monitor the performance.

Thanks again.
