i'll recommend try out DIY ccts from futurekit.com
it cost 1/3 of wat you're paying
since the cct come standard with on/off timing i'll recommend you change the two 1M resistor with on(145k ohms) off (6 secs with 1k ohms)
i've no time to restore them back to this HCH2 since removed from my old ride
btw i've also install aftermarket auto mirror fold upon armed
and auto door lock upon press brake

MX049: NIGHT-ACTIVATE SWITCH (DELAY ON-OFF)
Detail:
- PCB dimensions : 3.25x1.83 inch.
- Recommended Housing : FB04
-Power supply : 12 VDC. / 46 mA max.
-Max. load : 500 watts.
-Delay time : approximate 30 seconds.
-LED indication for LDR and relay.
-Light sensitivity : adjustable.

wow, interesting but looks complicated, and how would it be installed? I don't see how it can detect light, and i don't want to have to solder anything either. if you can post a how-to based on your old ride that would be great.

if you can understand DEI 545T installation, this M0049 post no problem
only different it don;t wear clothes but option to purchase the cover
as i mention, its a DIY kit so some basic electical knowledge required
but don't think its far fetching knowhow required
all light sensing cct require a light sensitive diode
but its in the package that require you to soilder them
if not into this then its not recommended for you
you hv to pay extra to allow others to do that job

i see, but i meant i don't want to solder anything to the car's wirings/electronics, connecting wires to each other isn't a problem. well thanks, hopefully other will find it useful. if u can dig up the installation manual and post it here, it can provide a good comparison for those who might want to try it.

i finally install them on my hch2
i connect to my fog lamp via grouding pin 8 (purple) at combination light sw (green connector near key switch)
but i understand its illegal in your country so you may opt for
grounding pin 10 (pink)

I've seen a lot of hesitation about installing this on people's cars. Let me assure you, I've been in car audio/security for 18 years, and this type of module is one of the easiest and least invasive around. If you want automatic headlights, this will take even the freshest of installers less than half an hour. All the wires you need are on the bottom of the steering column, and cutting and splicing wires is VERY easy. If anyone needs help with such a thing (or would like to find a shop that will do this for you for minimal installation fee) please do not hesitate to ask, as I have many connections nationwide in this industry.
