HCH1 or 2 12v battery

HCH1 or 2 12v battery
Should this battery be trickel charged every so often, or is it charged every time you start the car? This battery has never started my car, I'm beginning to wonder why Honda didn't put a 12v inverter in the car instead.

It's just like any other 12V battery in a car, except that instead of being charged by the alternator directly, it's coming off our IMA powertrain. You shouldn't need to worry about it, the thing's probably in better health than a normal 12V battery is anyways
