Default HCH-II Defrost autostop hack

I remember performing a procedure a while ago to allow the function of autostop while the rear defroster is on. I want to reverse this procedure and cant seem to find the steps anywhere. I have found what appear to be insight or HCH-I instructions but have lost the ones for the 2006 and newer models. I searched through the forum and even poured through my technical manual without success. If someone knows the process please let me know.

I didn't realize that the autostop function stops working when the rear defroster is on.

perhaps it doesnt, but i did some combination of buttons to allow auto stop to work when its not supposed to and I think it was related to either the A/C or defrost or combination thereof.

I have a suspicion that it makes the AC run in some kind of electric only mode, as when i use my AC my batteries SOC drops like a rock, i mean down to 1 or 0 bars. I just want to test a theory that it wont do that if i reverse it.

Oh. That is odd. Your SoC shouldn't do that. The reverse is probably the same code. I think you said you lost the original code, so I guess that doesn't really help. Good luck finding it and let us know what the results are.

Actually, one thing you might want to try is disconnecting the negative battery terminal for a few minutes and then putting it back on. I know that this resets the onboard computer (or at least the diagnostic part). It cleared my check engine light. However, doing this will cause your mpg averages to be erased, and you will need to enter in your radio code (so be sure u have this before you disconnect it). I think it's worth a try.

I have already tried resetting the computers by disconnecting the battery.

I really just need the procedure for the autostop trick. My last theory before taking it to the dealership is that the procedure I did caused the AC to be battery only.
