HCH 2007 IMA Battery
For my 2007 HCH, the IMA/Check Engine light just came on at 201K miles. I know my battery is out of warranty. I live in Central NJ. A call to a dealer told me that replacement is around 4700$. Ouch! I am wondering if there are places around NJ that would sell me a used/salvage battery and replace it in my car. I would love not to junk my car-- love it. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Check with the auto wreckers. Most body shops can probably swap it for you, or even at the wreckers? Try e-bay or Amazon.com. 4 t0 5 hundred should get you a new pack. H

I would get quotes from other dealers. Usually the cost comes in around $3000, and that includes labor, tax, and parts delivery.
