Default Great time to buy a HCHII

My 2007 HCHII (w/nav) was recently totaled (not my fault) and sent me shopping for a replacement. If you want to know more about that accident, click here. Back when I was shopping for my 2007, no dealers would budge for less than MSRP.

This time around however, dealers were practically giving me the car with lead offers only a few hundred dollars over invoice. Let's just say I drove away in this 2008 w/Nav for much, much less than I paid for my 2007. Something to consider for those of you looking at a new Civic Hybrid .

I might as well attend it this year as I live only four hours from Madison. Too bad I didn't know about Hybridfest back when I used to live in Madison...

Do you drive all the way to Hybridfest from Winnepeg? That's an impressive drive.

congrats on the purchase. sorry about the way it came about. that is the best color imo the civic hybrid comes in. i bought mine in 2006 and paid msrp for it. it was still new and the gas prices were high. but, in 2007 i traded in the 2006 and paid less than invoice for one with navi.

If you also mean "long" then I totally agree. I hope I can make it in less than 11 hours since I do not want to travel faster than 55-60 MPH.

I just picked one up on a lease. $3800 up front including first payment and 23 more payments at $200/mo. Saving $251/mo on the previous Jeep payment and an additional $200/mo or so on gas.

Sorry about the wreck, but congrats on the deal. Given the gas price trend, IMO you were very lucky -- demand for hybrids will only increase.

Gotta disagree with "exbauer" about the dark color, though. It does look nice, but it will put more load on the A/C during summer. My HCH is "galaxy gray," which was my 2nd choice behind white for that reason.

I would say that the time to buy a hybrid was in 2007...the HCHs locally are going for not less than $500 under sticker and 2 of the 3 local dealers still have ADP stickers on the cars.

I picked my 2008 w/Nav up 2 weeks ago for 500 UNDER invoice... 23.8 OTD in VA... Saving me $180/mo in fuel, + 1100 tak credit. woo hoo.

Those prices are purely regionally driven.

let the modding begin!
