Just to translate for our American friends:
4.4 l/100km = 52.5 mpg
4.6 l/100km = 51 mpg

Just did Los Angeles to Cape Cod, fresh oil change (its first) with Mobil 1 0-20, got 49.4 for the 44+ hour drive. The car was riding a bit heavy; had two people, gear, etc on board, and my friend drove a lot and drove it much more aggressive than I do- he only really "enjoyed" driving when it was in '2'...hehe.

I have noticed a bump in mpg with the Mobil 1, as well as a smoother idle and acceleration. (Honda oil filter) Got my first 600 mile tank here in MA since I've been on the road; the car now has about 9700 miles and after the 3000+ mile road trip the car seems well 'broken-in'. I have observed about a 3-4mpg bump with the Mobil 1. Either way, from the 'break in period' and/or the Mobil 1, I'm getting consistently better mpg.

Love this car.

Hello Tom. It sounds like you had your HCH loaded down? I find the power to be great, even in the mountain roads. The CVT works great. My engine runs like a clock! [smooth]. I still have 40% yet to go before first engine oil. I think I will stay with Honda 0-20 as Mobile 1 cost a arm & leg here in Canada. Even with the price of gas $113.09 a lit. here in Can. it is still a economical car to travel in? About 50 % less than what my little Miata uses ,and I think it is more fun to drive! I also like the climate control. Good to hear from you, H
