Two Questions
I have only had my 2007 HCH for about 2 months and I've been wondering two things. I could not seem to find them anywhere else in this forum, although they're probably out there somewhere.
1. When the battery is fully charged and you're braking, does the charge indicator not light up? When I have all the bars, the battery seems to still charge, meaning that it is not fully charged. Do I need to charge even more before it's actually fully charged and the full bars just mean it's nearly fully charged?
2. Also, I have heard that if you run out of gas and you are close enough to a gas station, you can use your electric motor to get the rest of the way.
Thanks a lot

As for your other question, I too wouldn't count on the electric motor to do anything more than assist.

Re: Two Questions
You will know when your battery is fully charged--the green lights don't come on anymore and it feels like the car rolls three times better than when you're charging.
I have never filled my battery on city or normal highway driving, even though my SOC is usually between 6-8 bars. The only times I've ever filled the battery have been in the mountains on 1000' plus descents.
