I use Amsoil for all of my high performance applications and think that I am going to run it in my HCH, pretty hard to be and yes it does beat Mobile 1. I have considered being a dealer for the stuff since I probably use enough in the different rigs that I have to cover the dealer costs. It runs about 7.55 a quart for the full synthetic oil, they also have good filters. I am still a long way from my first change with less than 1000 miles on the car though.

 

I guess it depends on how you look at it. Mobil 1 is also a very good synthetic. There are a lot of details of some long term tests done to compare the two here.

The biggest issue they had with the Amsoil is that the viscosity went up as the miles accrued and the fuel economy went down.
