This is odd...I dont know what your local dealers have been telling you...but we have cases of Hybrid Oil in our parts dept...

For a case of 12 Quarts of actual Honda Motor Oil...its 86.04 tax inlcuded...or 7.17 per quart...so you should be able to get the same pricing at your local dealership I would think...

And if anyone wants to verify this info, I can either fax you a copy of the invoice I just printed or you can call my parts dept...210-680-3371 Gunn Honda.

I dont get any compensation for this...so Im not trying to Spam or sell anything here...just offering the info.

Parat, I'm fine for oil, as the Linworth NAPA on 161 is practically in my backyard. The issue is that folks keep speculating on whether "Honda Genuine 0W20" is or is not made by Mobil, and if so, how its composition differs from the M1 formulation. To date, nobody's been able to provide proof one direction or the other.

CBond, the offer is nice, but street price for Mobil1 is typically around $6/qt

LOL

So thats the subject in question...is there a difference between "Street" oil and the "Honda" oil...

Honestly...I seriously doubt it...but I will do what I can to find out!

And on the Pricing...keep in mind thats a Honda Dealership price...and as a rule that isnt where you are going to find the Least Expensive of anything...other than maybe a good deal on a car depending on where you are getting it and at what dealership...

They were just running a deal for 5qt M1 + a Mobile oil filter for $26. I picked up 10 qts and 2 filters. I think the deal ended on the 1st of June, but they do carry the oil.
I just got the deal at my Advance Auto parts and it is good through June here. Maybe they extended the deal. $26.88 for all the Mobil synthetics and includes the filter. Comes out to $5.38 a quart plus the free filter. Cheaper than wally world.
