I learned my lesson on that one. Yeah, I just found the part online. Shipping and handling is more then the part!. I may try a salvage yard. Good tip. That part is pretty universal across Honda vehicles and models. There is enough of the broken part left on the cylinder head to get a good grip with pliers, just wondering how that bolt comes out?

 

Yeah, that's why having a new one in hand would help. I know shipping can be silly on small parts, but it's probably $4-5 at your local honda dealer.

 

so I changed the 4 spark plugs in the front of my 2008 honda civic hybrid but how do I reach the back 4 spark plugs any suggestions would be appreciated

 

Spark plug socket, ratchet and 2 short extensions (the ones that are about 3-4" long).

Use them in combination to make convenient lengths. The driver's side coil can be a little tricky to get out.

Alternatively, you can remove the cowl over the top of the coils.
