Auto climate control stuck on ??
Hi please advise on how to fix this see below :
After installing the 2nd aftermarket android 10" stereo. ( the first one came with on board touch screen climate controls , HOWEVER the manufacture said was compatible with my car IT WAS NOT. No auto climate control adaptor to be able to use this feature hence I returned and got this. )
I am going to pull the negative terminal & unplug and reconnect everything behind the stereo as a solution.
before I did that I wondered if this was common.
Heres the problem:
The outside vent is always on ( see pic ) Cannot un-click/un-select it.
The mode button although on the screen it makes a selection the vents do not actually change the selected vents.
The unit illuminates & powers on as normal , control blower gauge hi or low works as normal.
A/C off button works.
The Heat and cold control n the display works but actual heat and cold air does not seem to work.
Climate controls were in good working order before stereo install.
I have 2 PC's with DVD drives in them BOTH I could not get the PC to recognize the drive to be able to finally use the manual i purchased on ebay.
spending the money on a usb to dvd reader adaptor facepalm*
any help guys with my climate control issue ?
Check out my current MPG below (well from last night ):

Re: Auto climate control stuck on ??
It's been awhile since my HCH has been working, but IIRC, the outside vent is always on by default because the IPU fan needs the outside air coming in to blow the air to cool the HV battery out most effectively. As for the other issues, I have no idea other than maybe the stereo software isn't as compatible as they told you it was. Perhaps contact the manufacturer to see if they have any troubleshooting tips?
I'm curious to know what you figure out because I might like something like this in my car when I get it working again.

Re: Auto climate control stuck on ??
Hi
From what ive read the intake air compartment for the IMA FAN is right next to the rear speakers.
The climate controls are set by the user.
Be outside vent
Or interior recycle mode , not sure the technical term for this.
So i beg to differ.
Dont claim to be right
Correct me if im wrong .
EASY FIX.
I had a loose plug in the back of the stereo.
I simply connected it
Wala
Problem solved .
This issue is non existing.

Re: Auto climate control stuck on ??
Glad you found your fix! Which radio did you get?
Yes, there is an air intake for the IPU fan inside the cabin in the middle of the rear deck, that sucks air from inside the car to cook the IMA. I think in my car, the outside air button always illuminates whenever I started the car, even though the climate control was off. I could definitely be wrong, but I thought I had read that this was basically helpful to have some small amount of air coming into the cabin from outside to help the ventilation of the IPU. Not to say that a user cannot switch to recirculation, just that it always starts with that outside air button on.
