Default 12V Battery Indicator Window

Last year I had the dealership replace my 12V battery. I recall that the original factory battery had what appeared to be removable caps (presumably for adding water). It also had an indicator window with a legend explaining what the indicator window variations meant.

However, my new battery doesn't have removable caps. It does appear to have an indicator window, but no legend. When I look in the indicator window, I just see black.

I guess my main question is, should I be seeing anything in the indicator window of the new battery?

Also, is it normal/expected that Honda would replace my battery with one that looks completely different from the original? According to my invoice, the part number for the new battery is 31500-SLN-H360. Other than the invoice, I wasn't given any sort of documentation explaining the "features" of the new battery...now sure if that is something I should have expected to receive.

Thanks.

I don't trust dealers for any reason. However, in this case, I think your questions are best directed to the dealer in question as they have an obligation to support the work they did for you.

All of my Honda batteries have had two rectangular caps, each covering 3 cells and no window. When I replace an HCH2 battery, I put a higher capacity 51R from Walmart in it.
