Default Running day light on american mondel

Hi everyone,

I'm canadian and I just bought a 2003 HCH in the States. I like to post what was done to have running day light(DRL) in the car. That's right! In order to be able to register a american in Canada, we have to install it. I didn't install it, I just kinda hack it.

Here's what was done.

Now when the key is on the II position the light would come up.

Hi Colby,

I don't know, I did it just in order to pass the inspection. I passed it last week, since I don't know if it it safe I think I gonna remove it. But I've run like this since a month now, And I don't have any problem. I post this for canadian fellow who wants to import honda civic.

Cheers.

Sounds good. I would remove it and manually turn your headlights on, that way you don't get pulled over and you won't risk ruining part of your car or hurting someone.

Another solution woul be to open up the relay and solder the contactts closed or force them closed and them you don't have to run the extra wire

I have not done it on Hybrid but have done it on a relay in my truck that supplies power to my trailer. That way the trailer has power with the key off......same concept.
I may do it to my Hybrid so I can have running lights also.
