I mean when the light comes back on. When it does, pull the 12V battery for two minutes and plug it back in. Take the car for a test drive and about 3 minutes later the battery gauge will register.

You can replace your battery at a dealer for roughly $3000. This will buy you a battery that has been rebuilt by Honda. There are places that can rebuild it for significantly less.
