Car is on Auto-Stop, I have 56.7 mpg on 455.4 miles and a good deal of gas left, my IMA battery is full. How does the IMA light figure into all of this?

 

If your IMA light is on it does not mean its not working. Maybe Cat., O2 sensor but you should find out what its trying to tell you. I believe your saying the IMA light is on? Hal

 

It's the IMA light, it's on like donky kong. Honda looked at it, I need a new battery but the battery is acting like everything is just fine.

 

That is weird! Nothing showed when your Dealer checked it out other than poor bat. pack and yet its doing its thing!The numbers you gave sound great! Thanks for the help, I'll check out cleanmpg. My battery did lose a lot of charge quickly today after stopping for some groceries, but it charged back up quickly after driving for a while.

I really wonder why that light is on, because your pack seems to be working and doing the job. I think the problem is with the cat. or o2 sensor? I understand Auto-Zone will check and give you the code free? You may want to try them? Price is good anyway Hal

 

See if you can find out what the code was. I took a look in my shop manual and it lists more than 50 possible codes where the IMA light could be on.
