Default Florida Tax Inceitves

Anyone--Does the State of Florida provide any sales or other type of tax incentives for buying a hybrid-type automobile? THANK YOU

No, Florida doesn't do anything special to encourage hybrid buying.

I don't really count the $5 HOV sticker as much of an incentive since I don't live in downtown Miami or Ft. Lauderdale.

They have had some sales tax exemption bills die in committee, but you can write off your sales tax from your federal return anyway.

Make sure you check on the Federal Hybrid Tax Credit (they have a schedule for all hybrid vehicles sold in the US).

Here's a link with the amounts: http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/tax_hybrid.shtml
