Thanks for the quick turnaround. So, it looks like the battery is still not having major issues?

Keith looking for your magic. Thanks!

I followed the test procedures but the SOC never dropped below 60%.
Have the auto start issue where engine turns off but car does not move until engine restarted. Replaced 12V battery, Aux trans pump and Module.

Unfortunately, your current is all over the place, and I can't make any hard conclusion; however, not going below 60% is a bad sign.

There is evidence of significant battery deterioration, but I can't confirm it unless the current is held relatively constant.

Recommend a repeat test where you turn off A/C before the engine restarts and continue the test until it does. May take awhile.

S Keith, Can you take a look at these battery stats?

Bank 9,10,11 have single samplings with huge drops with 4 to 7 volts.

It was to cold today for the AC to kick in so mostly defrost and headlights and fans. I couldn't get down past 42 without the autostart recharging.

Would it help to put a charger on the 12V during this testing to delay the autostart to charge the 12V?
Should I replace the cells in banks 9,10,11 with known good cells (Anyone have a good source they recommend?)
My Total Voltage isn't appearing in Torque Pro, should that work? I imported the PID list at the beginning of the thread.

Thanks in advance. Chasing the Service Hybrid Message with subsequent stall after autostop.

Bad pack. Auto-start is not caused by 12V but because of the horrific HV battery condition.

If only 9, 10 and 11 needed to be replaced, you would see all 17 of the others tightly bunched with those three out. Since you see a "fan pattern" with all blocks spread somewhat uniformly from min to max, your pack is the typical **** pack at the time of failure due to horrific GM battery management and cooling system issues.

Replace all 40 modules. Not kidding. No other option. Any attempt to replace less than 40 with known good modules will result in a short term solution.

Does anyone sell these cells new or are we limited to reconditioned balanced packs?

Thanks for taking a look, better to know it's dead so I can focus on next steps.

The modules are made by PrimeEarthEV. Owned 80% by Toyota and 20% Panasonic. The only place to get new modules is in new packs sold at dealerships.

Recommend you acquire 2X Prius C packs (20 each) with comparable mileage from a mild climate - upper 1/3 of country - and rebuild.

Are the newer Prius cells with VIN FU, 7TH AND 8TH DIGIT that are NICKEL METAL HYDRIDE (NIMH) the same cells?

Is it better to get more recent model years or lower miles or both? What's the sweet spot for a used battery to harvest the cells?

Thanks for all your help!

All new NiMH packs sold currently have the same 2016 Gen4 modules in them. Doesn't matter whether you buy 2004 Prius or 2021 Rav4 - same guts.

CLIMATE and miles. Must come from upper 1/3rd of U.S - colder climates. No more than 50K miles on them, no less than 8K miles/year.
