Exclamation GM Bi Directional Scantool pre-purchase advice

I am in the market for a new bi-directional scan tool for my 2013 Chev Hybrid Silverado.

I need one to allow me to use the jump assist mode and other basic programming stuff.

What do you recommend, and why perhaps.
I do not have the budget for a full OEM version, but would love to see what comes close.

Cheers,

here is a couple options. I bought the VXDIAG nano. To be honest I think if I went back and did it again I would probably buy a different one, but it does work to get the jumpstart assist working. If you do buy a nano pay attention to the install directions. You’ll get a thumb drive with tech2win, and GDS emulators you need to install the older VXDIAG software first to get and then install the GDS software then update the VXDiag software for it to work right. Also it is picking about the computer and operating system you use.

I found for jumpstart assist to work right I need to back out of the screen after I activate it before turning the truck off btw. Hope that helps

unless you're trying to program new modules, I find the 300$ clone tech 2 to be the best value. doesn't have the big screens of the new 1000$ scanners but it does everyone the oem level scanner does.

for daily use I do have a little blue tooth dongle and phone app with added pids to view the hybrid data like cell voltage and Temps, but it isn't something you can use for bidirectional stuff.

Thank you.
Maybe it would not work because I did not back out of the screen.

I'll try it with one you suggested.
