Default Considering 2009 Sierra Hybrid

Hello, friends. First time poster on this site, relatively long-time hybrid owner. I have had a Civic Hybrid and currently own a 2008 Camry Hybrid. I am considering adding a 2009 GMC Sierra Hybrid to my garage.

I have a dealer offering me the aforementioned vehicle with the following options/specs: 4wd, white, tan leather, option package 3HB (nav, bose system, etc), and sunroof. The MSRP is right under 50k and I have them on the hook for 40,800, including a spray in bed-liner. All said, that is just over 9k off MSRP.

I tend to think this is a pretty good deal, but believe I should be able to push back even a bit farther given the fact that it has been on the lot for awhile. What do you experts think? Is that likely the best price I can get or have you seen lower in recent months?

Thanks in advance for your input.

Default my yukon experience

2008 yukon hybrid with EVERYTHING bought jan 2009 sticker was over 57K...I started negotiating at 42K ...and went down from there. Dec/Jan is traditionally the slowest time of the year for car sales...don't know about pickups though, never had a use for one.

You are right in the ballpark I paid for my Silverado 4x4 hybrid. I haven't gone back to look at the papers but I paid the supplier price with 5000 off from GM so that was around 10K off. Great truck, I love it. Welcome aboard!

Congratulations!
Can't ask for anything more... Fuel economy without compromising truck quality...

Anybody knows by the way what is the big difference between Sierra and Silverado? just curious...

Congradulations Slash and welcome aboard. I am thinking of replacing one of my older Chevy Duramax trucks with one because of the great reliability I have had with the Tahoe Hybrid and Mel's comments and feedback.
