dealership it's like 4-5k for a replacement pack but i would just run it tell it does not start anymore.. assuming you don't have smog testing

 

From some tests I ran when messing with mine it looks like most GreenBean "type" remanufactured battery companies are matching used modules and what you get is a battery that is quite a bit degraded from the original capacity. I had bought 6 replacement batteries from a rebuilder and they tested at approx 60% of original capacity. That may or may not be a reflection of the overall market since it is a very small sample................
I ended up buying a remanufactured battery from Best Hybrid Battery Company and I am sure that it has diminished capacity modules in it but they sent me pics and the modules were dated only a few years old, so hoping for the best from "Best Hybrid Battery Company" LOL
My 09 Tahoe has over 230,000 miles on it so its expected lifespan is probably less than the expected life of this rebuilt hybrid battery. Original New battery 10 years so if the replacement is 60% maybe 6 years Hahahaha looks like I will be out of luck sometime in 2025.

If you have a super nice low mileage GM Hybrid unit that you plan on keeping for many years it might be worth the extra coin to go with a brand new battery.

Hello Chris,
The battery has held up very well since 2019. I bought from Best hybrid out of Chicago. . I actually sold my 2009 a couple of months ago, so I will not be able to report anything in the future. I think all of these twomodes will have an occasional bumps and jerks and that crazy feels like someone hit you from behind and gave you a push at low speeds every once in a while but once you get the actual codes it pretty much confirms battery replacement is a necessity. .

 

my Escalade is still going strong no issues so far it been all over Texas with it love the gas mileage I get from it
