Default brake fluid

Hi there, has anyone ever used silicone based brake fluid, specifically in their Yukon/ tahoe hybrid? I was looking into switching and I wonder if it offers better braking performance

Default Re: brake fluid

Very bad idea for a very large number of reasons. But, skipping all of those, your hybrid doesn't use the brakes the same way a 'vette does. A lot of the initial braking is done by the electric motors. I took my front brakes apart doing the dropped spindles at 42,000 miles and they were still like new. You don't need the super-high heat handling of silicon fluid and the nightmares associated with it in a full-hybrid like your Yukon.
