Hi
I had this problem and it was driving me crazy. Finally I managed to find an answer for the whole stall out problem. My 08 Yukon has only a D and M on the shift lever. If I put it in M it automatically overrides the auto stop. I love this car but I was going to sell it until I found this fix. It defaults to M4 on the display. So gears 1 through 4 shift normally. I just put it back in D on the freeway. Problem solved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah it's just Sleep Mode

the longest trip so far in auto stop is 8.5 miles! (found a long down hill stretch of road)

Also it gave me a new personal record taking that road

28.70 MPG combined over 200 miles using that route

Was the Hoffman tire pro the shop that did your hydraulic clutch diagnosis? I have 235k on mine and starting to have some issues with the hybrid and I believe it may be the clutch as well. Need a reputable hybrid shop anywhere between Destin Fl and Charlotte NC. Anywhere along 65n to Montgomery AL then 85N from Montgomery to Charlotte NC. Atlanta is my halfway point so S. Of Atlanta would be perfect.
