I can't state it any more explicitly. A fully charged 12V at rest should be at least 12.6V for flooded and as high as 13.0V for AGM. If you put a meter on a resting 12V battery, and it measures 12.0V, it's at < 50% charge. If you fail to charge 12V lead acid batteries to full and keep them fully charged, they destroy themselves.

 

my 2 cents is buy a clone tech 2. get a subscription to all data for month or so it's not to bad.


and replace all the batteries with new ones.. you said 2 monster Panasonics are still in there? that's the oem batterys that came with the truck? lead acid batteries even taken good care of on a storage shelf you're asking a lot of them to still be alive almost 20 years later.

if you want this to run, you're basically going to have to have a dealer level scanner which is about 300$ and then access to proper shop manuals with troubleshooting trees and wiring diagrams.
