09 Vin 5 versus 11 Vin J differences
I know there are differences between the 2009 Vin 5 Hybrid engine and the 2011 Vin J hybrid engine. Needing to replace the one in my 235 k mile 09 and have found a low mile 2011 Hybrid engine. Is the cam and perhaps oil pump the only mechanical differences? I know the ecm wants to see the special 09 spec cam.
Thanks for any replies, just don't want to start with a 150 k engine.

Re: 09 Vin 5 versus 11 Vin J differences
Oil pump and cam have different part numbers for 08-10 versus 11-13. Found a very nice 2010 at salvage yard with 114k miles, one owner and CarFax showed oil changes over time at about a 4000 mile periods. Runs great and mileage back over 20 mpg. Swapping engines a big pain in butt. Found the oil leak problem which had persisted over last 20 k miles was actually a couple of loose bolts on rear main cover. Funny thing, the new engine had a couple not torqued well.
