Whats the best tire pressure?

Honda recommends 30 PSI for the HCH. It is printed on the driver's doorwell. But, if we follow your suggestions, we should look at the tire itself. Well, the tires on the HCH have a max rating of 51 PSI. That is 21 PSI higher than what Honda recommends. Honda only states 30 PSI to give the best ride comfort.

I've owned 27 cars since I was 16 years old, 6 of the recent ones are new. In every case I've maintained the max tire cold pressure rating. That's more than 108 tires and have had zero issues.
Most everything we purchase has a margin of safety built in.
Quick example is
If you purchase a lamp it may suggest a 50w bulb but not to exceed 75W. If you install a 75W bulb you are still within the safety rating.
Personally I run the upper end of the tire MFG max pressure rating which gains around 20 MPG.

___25 - 35% > max sidewall here and the only difference besides a harsher ride over the last 26,000 miles in tires rated for ~ 25,000 miles and 44 #’s MAX cold is the harsher ride (that’s a given), much higher fuel economy, better handling, and 2 - 3/32’s average wear of an available 11/32’s on all 4 corners. Blowout or Burst pressures are a bit over 100 #’s in most tires from my understanding so a lightly loaded 51 # cold rated tire like those on the HCH in particular are perfectly fine at 51 #’s.
