1 GPH does not mean much. I can burn 1 gallon per hour standing still and get 0 MPG.
What do you think of this? Excuse the dust. It just rained here.

In the HCH2 I can stand still (with autostop) and not burn anything nor affect FE

I do however, try to keep moving at 55mph and 55mpg - Its all good.

I had an 89 dodge spirit es that had a mpg display. Myself and the wife would joke when we went downhill that we were getting 99 mpg - an impossibility at the time.

Most likely you the car had fuel cutoff at that point or at least a very lean idel.

Yeah, a lot of my friends can't do math either
