ya for sure when your hypermiling YOU MUST PAY EXTRA ATTENTION to what you are doing otherwise your FE will easily drop if you drive like any normal citizen out there since the old accelerate, brake, then go again until crusing speed is reached days are over. Now its speed up, let the car freelance in neutral and predict when you will stop so that you won't have to use the brakes at all. Know your going to stop? Might as well shut off that engine in advance knowing you won't go anywhere and you'll end up at that spot evenually, and if the light turn green awesome! At least you have a HUGE momentum advantage to get you going to your speed so that you can rise and repeat the techniques that will get you smiling once one realize how much of a difference it makes.
