  • 50 psi pressure caps will be taken off by a tire shop and kept unless you complain ... then they will call them 'batteries'
getting 55.3 MPG versus the previous tank of 54.2 MPG is a good sign.

Kinda slow witteded here, but the shop which aligned my tires did all of the above on all 4 wheels (89 bucks, I think).

New tires are to be installed this week.

Why are your valve covers called batteries? What is done with them - turned over to dept of homeland security.

I was astounded to hear that my sister's 96 Saturn donut cost 200 bucks: New tire, rim and balance.

Gas out here in some parts of Maryland shows gas under 3.50/gal (3.43/gal). I think we were in an oil bubble (is that a pun) which has now burst. For what it's worth, I'm predicting gas down around 3/gal by the end of this year.

It's like buying a dollar scratch off and winning $40. Or to put it another way - getting some of value for very little.

In this economy you take what you can get - where you can get it. (Most of us don't have a BMW in our garage.)

As unbelievable as it sounds... I actually paid $2.97/gallon yesterday.

I actually filled up for $2.699/gallon in Indy when I was there for the colts game this weekend.

There are 4-5 stations in Vegas at the $2.999 value but most are $3.20ish. All my Chevrons in town are still $3.25 or so.

2.93 here and dropping. Lowest price in the state and happy to see it.
But I would rather have a good economy and low gas prices.

Eastern Shore around Salisbury, Md., Delmar, Del. 2.99, but I did see it down around 285/g driving in on US 50 back into D.C.

So, we blew through that 3/g. New prediction - 2.25/g by 1/1/09, and a . . . oops.

Paid $2.519 (I think it was) for my last fill-up. I'm 3 or 4 fillups behind in the database - to be updated soon. It's $2.469 now near where I work.
