Default 09 Mazda Tribute

I just purchased a 09 Mazda Tribute, same as the Escape, and it seems that the gas pedal is super sensitive. You need to start real slow to keep the gas engine from firing up. This has to be annoying to the cars behind me. I usually take off using the gas engine and then take my foot off the gas to let the electric engine take over after I am up to speed. I was wondering if there is an adjustment the Dealer can make. I have not taken it in or asked the service department yet. Any comments?

You need to spend some time reading the various posts in the Escape Hybrid to learn more about vehicle and how to maximize fuel efficiency. There is no adjustment the dealership can make to what you are referring to. Look for GaryG in the previously mentioned area to learn how to hypermile the vehicle.
