Is your SGII in a safe location?

Re: Is your SGII in a safe location?
It was clear that you didn't think about the 06-07 doc I posted.
Had you thought it through you would have spent the two minutes it took me to then find the 08 one and posted it. Instead you chose the negative which told me you didn't want to be bothered with facts.
It's interesting to note that the 06-07 & 08 diagrams are very, very similar. They probably use the same airbags!
Now that we know the whole top of the dash doesn't open up...

FWIW, I read both documents, but only the section on air bags.

Re: Is your SGII in a safe location?
1. ALL MODELS have a door or "window" that opens up.
2. On the 2005-2007 models the door is on the top of the dash.
3. On the 2008 and later models the door is below the top of the dash, between the glove box and the dash.
4. The safe place to put the SG is to the left of the middle of the center stack.
If I had realized the location of the door, I wouldn't have opened this thread in the first place. From the original appearance, the dash top opened (so that the bag deployed similar to the pre-2008 model). But now I see that it opens directly from the front of the dash.
Many thanks to Bill Winney for posting the link to the FEH modifiers guide, which cleared up the situation.

Re: Is your SGII in a safe location?
www.google.com works pretty good.
Sometimes I have to play with the search terms and I don't recall what I did for the 06-07 Modifiers Guide nor how many pages back it was. Usually I only go to page three of a google search, but this one might have triggered me to go further, don't recall.
Once I knew the title for the 06-07 I substituted 08 in the search line name and found that one in 2 minutes or less.
Appreciate the "thank you" line, I work pretty hard to put up sound technical info and URLs or docs that might be useful.
