Is that 127,000 miles or 127,000 kilometers? Buy with only some type of dealer based no-cost warranty.

If the price is right why not? Keep in mind the Mercury Mariner lying is being dropped. I'm not sure anyone has figured out how many miles these hybrids are going to go. I've seen a few over 100,000 miles and they're still running strong. Make sure you check the air filter in the back for the battery as it doesn't seem many people ever replace these. The last one I saw which was an 05 Escape around 7/10 had 118,000 miles and went for 5K wholesale. The car was pretty rough on the inside but ran fine. The value drops because the hybrid warranty ends at 100,000 miles in most states however keep in mind green states like California have a 150,000 mile 10 year warranty. However it's not clear if you bought car from a green state or to a green state what your warranty would be

no green state here...i live in virginia....so i guess its 100k.No big deal to me. If the battery fails you can get one on ebay for close to 500 bucks. Also the article on the newyork taxis gave me some confidence in my purchase. I was going to check the air filter first thing. I still have yet to pick it up. Ill get it tuesday or wednesday. thanks for response
