Default Wiring for a trailer and backup sensors

Hello all! My first post Just bought my '08 FEH and LOVE it!!!! Traded in an 04 Expedition and feel soooo good now to get that monkey off my back.

I plan on towing a small pop up camper, wt=1350 or so. Looking at the other forum posts I decided to go to Etrailers and get set up. Well, as an after thought I called up Ford to see if they did have a part for the Towing Harness I would need. They have 2 wiring harnesses it appears One for a FEH with the backup sensors and one without? Well, I have the backup sensors!

My plan was to get the Harness from Etrailer.com part # 118426 . Anyone used this or have the backup sensors? Will it mess something up using this harness or just be beeping while I backup? Have to admit I am a bit nervous putting this stuff on due to warranty issues too.

Hope to post more often and be a part of the community here!

While I guess things could have changed for '08, I would suggest really checking that the Ford trailer wiring harnesses are truly for the hybrid.

I just went through all that last week. Check out this thread: https://www.greenhybrid.com/discuss/...ad.php?t=13421

The harness you will get from Ford will not work. At least on mine there was no place to plug in.

You have backup sensors, I just don't understand why a backup circuit has anything to do with stop or turn signals. My suspicion is that that harness will not work, even with your options.

The e-Trailer plug in unit is nice, just wish I had the time to spare. I needed it the next day but shipping was 3-4 days. Don't forget to get the powered module too!
