I picked mine up last night. I got a FEHL navi 2WD in BPS. I paid X-Plan for it. There was a dealer in Fisher, IN that is selling one cheaper than X-Plan $32,000. It is a FEHL navi 2WD in black. I would have gone for that one, but they were a 200 mile drive and I had a trade in.

 

I paid sticker, $34,110, but did get $1000 over high book value for my trade, primarily because I added in-dash nav.

They claimed the economy didn't affect their business here in the Midwest, but I didn't get that feeling at deal time.

FWIW, I was told hybrids sold at sticker price here and other vehicles were discounted below. I'd do business with them again.

 

I found several dealers in Chicagoland that had the car in stock. But, only 2 dealers were willing to do X-Plan. I went to the first dealer and they didn't give me what I wanted on my trade. Plus the one they had in stock had the side steps that I didn't want. Then I went to the second dealer and they had the exact model I wanted and was $500 less than what I wanted for my trade. But, there was nobody in the dealer and I think they were hurting for a sale. I walked away happy and would go back there if I was in the market for a Ford.

 

My only complaint is I wanted the factory (over priced) NAV. The vehicle is too nice to have a Garmin (or SG for that matter) sitting on the dash.

 

The only time I ever recall beating the market successfully was buying an '08 in November 2008. They weren't cutting deals then either -- no need to when demand is so high.

My poor old jeep cherokee -- mint condition -- is still sitting there waiting for someone to buy it.

 

I also got mine via x-plan. No negotiation. $32,773 for FEHL FWD with Nav & Side Steps. $75 doc fee. I bought off the lot so I had to pay the additional price adjustment for units produced after Aug 08.
