First Tank 592.6 miles
Second 708.5 miles, total OD - 1,301.1 miles
Third so far 552.8 miles, total OD - 1,853.9 miles
The first tank nav sys reading is off because I reset it a few times before installing the SGII's. The SGII's are off because I was well into the first tank of gas before installing. Here is the second tank reading for the Nav Sys and the SGII's and the third tank so far:
Second Tank Nav System average - 46.4mpg Tank average
Second Tank SGII average - 49.0mpg Tank average
2.6mpg average difference in Fuel-Cut
Third Tank so far Nav Sys average - 46.5mpg Tank average - 98 miles MTE
Third Tank so far SGII average - 49.0mpg average - 186 miles TTE
2.5mpg average difference in Fuel-Cut
An educated guess is the Nav Sys is reading to low and the SGII is reading to high. I put my MPG average at 47.5mpg at this point.

I have less than 1500 miles on my new FEHL 09
I'm getting 36-40mpg.
I'll be the first to say I'm new to "hypermileing" but the 09 makes it so easy, you don't really need to work hard at it.
I really think I'd be up in the mid 40's mpg if my mother didn't move to the mountains and need my 09 to lug boxes!
Anyway with an 09 FEH anyone can be a "hypermiler" and we might even need a new name cuz the old "hypermile" techs don't need to be used.....

I finally got mine!!!!! TODAY!!!!!
2009 FEHL - $31,000
Found a dealer that had one with all the specs I wanted. Almost didn't get it too! and would have had to wait MONTHS probably.
Another Ford Dealership by my house said they would get it for me so I wouldn't have to drive all the way to the dealership that had it and when I went in to give a deposit they said that the other dealeriship didn't actually have it. They said that it was just an invoice or something I saw online that the dealership had on order and they hadn't received the car yet.
Well after 2 days of thinking I'd thought I'd call the other dealership just for the heck of it before actually ORDERING one and I was shocked when the manager told me it was in stock and out in the lot!!! Needless to say it was sold immediately

Quick question guys. My buddy is looking at Hybrids but since his lease for his 06 Hylander is ending he needs something big. He did like the prius but hated the front end acccleration (he said he felt like he was crawling). The Hylander Hybrid is too much for him and after driving mine he like it and the size and the pickup.
That said, what is the difference between the regular and limited. Is it Leather and moonroof added?

When all was said and done the price for my 2009 FEH LTD w/NAV was $37,727.50. Now this includes: Tax & License (UT) & the extended warranty protection that has the paint, seat, underbody, stereo treatments. I believe this extended the base warranty by 2 years.
I ordered 6/13 and received 9/13. My dealer honored the quoted price so I did not pay the additional $1030 that was added to the 2009 sticker price.
The vehicle is sweet! But don't count on hauling much.

It seems to me that Ford has gotten out of control with their prices on the Hybrid Escapes.
My 2007 FEH had a sticker of $27500, and I got them down to $24,500. Also at the time, (01/07) there was a rebate that had just gone up from $2500 to $3000. This was still about a $5000 premium over a V6 Ford Escape.
You can look at the Ford Escape specials here in the St. Louis Post newspaper--you could buy 2 Ford Escapes @ $17,700 for the price of one of the new 2009 FEH's.
I don't get it. What makes an FEH worth roughly $10K more than my 2 year old sticker price? Sure--you guys might get in the 40's MPG wise, but I could buy a lot of gas for $10K.
Thanks,
Chuck

Chuck, what kind of options are you getting? The loaded 09 (and 08) has leather, moonroof, Nav, etc - not cheap options.
It's simply not fair to compare a base (manual) I4 escape to a loaded FEH Limited. It would be better to compare a V6 escape limited to the FEH Limited. I'm not sure how the numbers lay out for the 09 but for my 08, at least, I paid about a 4500 premimum for my FEH vs the comperably equiped 08 all gas escape... Throw in the 3000 tax credit and I only have to make up 1500 in gas, maitence, etc....
