transmission fluid

alright we had our transmission apart to change it out with a new one and we had to drain all of the transmission fluid to do so. Where do you put it back in? how much does it take? and what kind does it take?

Here is what the original shop manual perscribed. I don't know if there have been any updates from Ford.

I've used Mobil 1 Multi Vehicle ATF. It meets the FEH Ford spec for transmission fluid. The fill plug is behind the splashguard in the front driver's side wheelwell. Since the fill plug is on the side of the transmission, it's hard to overfill the transmission. My 2006 FEH took 6-7 quarts of ATF.
