Default Tire rotations: 5K or 10K?

DO you rotate the tires every 5K or just with the scheduled maintenance?

I do what the book says to do. I don't plan to deviate from that until it's out of warranty.

Same here. I have the tires rotated when I get the oil changed. First at 5k, second at 10k, and now every 10k forever.

Obviously couldn't hurt to rotate more often, but I'm not making a special service trip anywhere just for that.

I'm rotating five tires, so I think my pattern is different. But that's another story.

I guess for me it doesn't matter either way. We bought from Mills Ford somewhere in Orange County (not exactly sure where. I just kept punching in "Ford Dealer" on NL in our Hertz rental )... We are in Vegas, so even if they do do a free service we won't be driving back down there on purpose for it.
