Subtle price increase...

Subtle price increase...
Has anyone re-priced their 08's lately? I bought mine May 08, sticker w/options was $28,420. Today the same car built on Ford's site is $28,610. And I built mine many times before I purchased it, so I know the website & stickers matched exactly.
Plus isn't there a rebate or 2 missing now. The $500 & $545 so it's like a $1235 increase. Plus others have reported selling over MSRP...
I haggled the best I could. Even tried to get the free sunroof for the "fun in the sun" promotion for Escapes w/ moonroof/Sirius package. Nowhere in the fine print did it say "excludes Hybrids" but no go
Still I walked out, I mean drove off, giving the dealer just about sticker, after rebates, ext warrenty, trade in (payoff only), some taxes & paper work fees (out of state didn't pay all taxes there, another $1k went to the tag agent).
Overall I can't complain, still averaging 32mpg with my mixed driving, sure beats the 16 from the minivan and 12-13 in the Expedition!
Added: The base price went up, sticker used to be $25,075 now $25,265.
Then there's this dealer on ebay, $27,770 MSRP BIN $29,495... Sheesh Ford tring to lose a little less? But I bet it's more like dealer pocketing the extra.
And everyone ordering one, what base price do you get? The price when it started, or the price when it's finished?

You are right!
Go to: http://www.fordvehicles.com/suvs/escapehybrid/?searchid=426441|15932595|80550216&v=html
and it lists base MSRP as $25075. Click on 'Build and Price your Ford' and the price jumps to a base MSRP of $25265. Ford has not quite finished updating the website.

You're right. 4WD was $26825 base, now shows a $190 increase to $27015. Seems strange considering how vocal Ford was about price cuts for 2008 just a few months ago.
Between the improvements for '08, $3.25 gas being normal now, and the fact that the vehicle has "proven" itself, maybe sales are finally taking off. What better time to kick the incentives and start inching the price up a little?
Toyota did big price increases with the Prius as soon as the Gen 2 model began selling well. A 2006 Prius cost over $1100 more than a 2004, and the increase was even more with options. Plus they pulled the free roadside assistance, which is like an additional $300 increase. Now THAT is a smart way to keep moving forward.
