Spare Key ?

Re: Spare Key ?
Just wanted to report back that the eBay keys arrived, and looked identical to an OEM key. The local home store key department cut one and didn't even charge me, since I wasn't buying a blank. That was nice of him.
I then tried the cut but unprogrammed new key and it opened the door, turned the ingition switch, but could not start the car. The "Theft" light flashes when you try to start it.
Then I programmed the new key per the owner's manual and it will now start the car. You always need two working keys to program a third.
Mission accomplished, just need to hide it securely underneath.

Re: Spare Key ?
There is a perfect spot to hide the key in the channel structure behind the front bumper, if you are using a magnetic box. The channel holds it securely out of the road splash. Hybrid thieves, please ignore this posting.
