Umm.... the rest of the world, including Linear Logic calls this the ScanGaugeII ( two ) not ScanGauge11 ( eleven ).

I'm trying to decide between getting a new SGII or upgrading the one I purchased last March. Are all of the older SGII's being upgraded coming back as version 3.15* (and would probably not support SOC)? If so, I might just go ahead and spring for a new one.

Thanks,

Rick

I'm in the same situation as you. After the new year I'm going to call Linear-Logic and inquire about our options for getting a version 3.15 that would give us SoC. My guess is that changing a 3.15* to 3.15 won't be possible as a firmware change or they wouldn't have fielded two versions of 3.15 to begin with.

Another possible option could be a less than full price exchange of our SG's. And the last possibility, as you suggested, is just to purchase a new SG with version 3.15. Our old SG could be used in tandem with the new one for more gauges, or we could sell it on eBay to someone with another brand of hybrid.

I'll post back next week, and anyone else feel free to also inquire with LL.

Don -

I'll wait for your post to hear what response you get from LL. Please let them know that there are at least 6 (?) of us FEH owners in the same situation .

I heard from Carl that the * was a hardware change, not a software change.

I spoke to Ron at LL this morning, and he is aware of our problem. The solution will likely be a version 3.16 firmware update "without charge" in the not to distant future.

The "*" indicates a SG with the original (older) processor.

Ron requests that anyone with the SoC XGauge problem send an e-mail to service@linear-logic.com stating that you are effected by that problem. He will contact us when the solution is available.

Thanks for posting this. I was afraid that might be the case.

I decided to go with a second SG II and I'll think about updating my old one once this is resolved. There's a group buy right now on http://www.cleanmpg.com for the SGII in case anyone is interested.

Rick, I can't find the group buy on cleanmpg. Can you post a link to the thread where it is? Thanks.

Here you go:
http://www.cleanmpg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7788

There are 10 committed so far (which is the minimum), but it sounds like there are a few more available.

Default Noticed something new after HV Battery "fix"

Hi All.

I noticed someting new after the HV battery wire harness "recall" that involves installation of a "jumper wire" into the HV battery pack, and new battery management software.

I have not had the "recall" work done in my 2005 yet.

In a friend's 2006, after the battery mod, the ScanGauge reads 84-94 volts for the HV battery pack! What the &@*?

The same ScanGauge in my un-modified car reads 330 to 336 volts.

I'm 99% sure the 2006 is fine, since it starts and runs correctly.
SOC was in the 45% range and charged and discharged when driving.

Perhaps we need yet another modification to the ScanGauge Xgauge?

Has anyone else seen this, "change"? I had not heard of this one.

Thanks, John
