Exclamation ScanGauge SOC =92; Amps =104 !!!!!

2008 FEH with 52,000 miles and zero problems since new.

Just driving home for about 10 miles on the interstate. Noticed the SOC slowly climb up to 92. Then, it reversed and went down to about 62 before I reached home. During the time is was decreasing, the AMP display was showing very high numbers, up to 104.

What's going on? Anybody seen this type of behavior in their FEH?

Thanks, subdewd,

I was really worried. Now I understand that it's normal.

Correct, although I think 92 is the highest I've heard of. I have had only a single recal on my 2008, but I'm only at 35K.

There's a SOC of 95 here and my 94.3 a few posts below it.

SOC= State Of Charge, ie. the empty/full gauge for the HV battery.

I have experienced this on my 2005 twice in the past 4 months or so. I'm not sure if I should be concerned or not but it freaked me out a little the first time it happened. It just kept charging and charging. I didn't have the SOC on my scangauge set up at the time so I don't know how high it got.
