Default Samples of 2006 Tax Credits

CNN/Money has examples of the 2006 tax credit for various hybrid vehicles. The article can be found at http://money.cnn.com/popups/2005/aut...n.exclude.html

I saw this but was wondering why the Honda Civic was not included?

Being a procrasinator that I am, I am finally getting around to do my tax for 2005. How have you guys been claiming the tax credit? List it as deduction and attached a sales invoice?

Any help/sample is greatly appreciated.

I got this from the web site: http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/tax_hybrid_old.shtml
------------------------------------------------------
How do I claim the deduction? Whether you itemize or take the standard deduction, you can still claim the clean-fuel tax deduction. Unless the vehicle is purchased solely for business use, simply include the deduction on your 2005 1040 tax form in the "Tax, Credits, and Payments" section. Enter the amount of the deduction and the words "Clean Fuel" on the line next to line 36 and include the deduction in the total.

If you purchased the vehicle solely for business use, just claim the deduction on the "Other expenses" line of either Schedule C or Schedule F.

Thanks, grecni.

My tax software was telling me somewhere along the line what you posted. I just thought, "it can't be this easy..."

Oh well, see if I get audited.
