Yeah, I had it done. They had the vehicle for 1.5 days, because they couldn't get to it the first day, supposedly. However, I did call them the week earlier, and had to have the parts dept order the parts because they didn't have it in stock (in fairness, it was the day after I got the letter when I called). The invoice shows $12 in parts, $205 in labor for 2.4 hours. Of course, it was free to me.

"Only service two hybrids a day"...???? LOL That is funny, really really funny... since most dealers only SELL 2 or 3 hybrids in a WHOLE YEAR!
Where in the world does a dealer have to service "so many hybrids" he has to put a 2 a day limit on it??? This is the funniest thing I've heard in months!!!

(I went to the svc counter and they said...."oh, you have a hybrid...you need to talk to ________".)
His calandar for hybrid recalls showed about 10-15 repairs scheduled the next two weeks.
FWIW, dealer is Tedd Britt Ford in Fairfax, VA.

Since the repair takes half a day to complete and since most dealerships (including mine) have only one hybrid tech, simple math will tell you why they have a two per day limit.
Even the small dealership where I got mine has sold at least 12 since they came out - that's over a weeks worth of technician time with everything going perfect on each AND no other hybrid repairs coming along.
I kind of appreciate the fact that the service departments may be keeping some flexibility in their schedules. If and when mine goes in for the recall, I want it back that day.

Has it been determined if this repair applies to all 2007 FEH's? I see a number of people here with 2007's have gotten the letter, but I have not. Just wondering what's up.

We all probably received our "service campaign" letters on the same day....I'm sure that dealer has had many calls and he only has one dedicated Hybrid service bay/team of techs. I got my letter and I'm going to wait until the techs have practiced the service on several other vehicles.

I logged into http://www.myford.fordvehicles.com/ and found that no recalls are pending on my vehicle VIN, so I answered my own question.
This is an "Important Service Notice" as it says on the envelope. And yes it should be taken care of if your vehicle is as the letter says " Certain 2005-2007 Escape Hybrid vehicles" ditto for the Mariner. If yours is one of them then you would have gotten the letter. They get your address based primarily on state registration and title data.
