Default Rattles - fixed one, need help on 2nd UPDATE

UPDATE

Just got back from the dealer and the clunk rattle was caused by the link on the front stabilizer bar.

I Googled this issue and it seems this is a very common problem on all Escapes (not just FEH). It felt kinda loose when I checked it, so I was pretty sure going in that this was the problem.

If you want to check this on your own Escape, I think the tire needs to be on the ground, other wise the link is loaded and you will not feel the slop in the end joints.

Replace the sway bar link(s). It is a plastic rod about 6" long with a ball joint on each end. It is an easy DIY job and the part is about $20, but since I was still under warranty, I had it done.

I have a 2008 FEH 2WD with 34,000 miles. I just had it at the Dealer for state inspection and they said the front stabilizers were worn out and replaced them under warranty.
