Default question from newbie regarding cargo area

Hi everyone

Does anyone know if the bar that goes across the cargo area is removable?

Thanks

Yes. There is a spring that allows one to unattach it from the cargo walls. Many of us do not use it most of the time.

Was the cargo cover an option? I don't have one on my '07. Is there a storage area for it when removed, like on a Subaru?

I won't swear to it, but think, at least on 08, it was part of the premiem pkg (heated leather seats, etc)

As fas as storage, yup there's a place to store it, as long as you have room in your garage or house for it

I have only used it like twice, and twice it's been in the way, had to take it off at the store and lay it along side the big stuff we impulse purchased (or else we'd have taken big blue)

I had one of those in my Explorer and it spent all its time in the garage. With tinted windows, it seems redundant.

You can remove it and put it on the floor of the cargo area up against the back of the rear seats. Then you will have it if you want to put it back into it's "slots" to cover something in the cargo area.

Hmmm, that is where I store the cross bars from my cargo rack.
