If you have a VIN, you can go to the site below and some friendly Ford employees will look it up in their system and get you some dates.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, it hasn't been scheduled yet so there is no VIN. They tell me that the individual regions handle the scheduling. Any info on how often that occurs?
Just trying to get a sense of how long it takes to work through each step of the process given I'm entering week 8 already.

Re: Ordering a 2008 FEH
I saw this posted today elsewhere: "We ordered a new FEH in early June. We were told 6-8 weeks for delivery, but Ford got a huge surge in orders at the same time, so much so that the delivery time is now about 10-12 weeks. Our FEH isn't even on the schedlue to be built yet. We might get it by the end of August."
There's no source given, whether from Ford or the dealer. But it's interesting that this guy says his delivery time estimate was changed from 6-8 weeks to 10-12 weeks.
Also, from KCAP employees posting on the Blue Oval, June 25 "Last I knew, we could only build 5 per hour due to availability of batteries for the unit." and July 5 "Hybrid production should be increasing soon. We have already built some test units of the mazda tribute hybrid that are a 2008.5 unit. If you add these units in with the original Escape hybrid, they will have to increase the units per hour for these just to keep up. We do have 8 additional saurdays coming soon as we are told that we are a combined 20,000 units behind."

Re: Ordering a 2008 FEH
I ordered a Mercury Mariner FWD on 6/29/2007. I recieved my DORA from the dealer and it has a priority of 10 and shows the same order date.
It gives me a partial vin of 2CU29H 8
It also says Begin Ord 7035.
I posted this info to the Blue Oval forum, but have not heard anything back.
Does any suspect how long I have to wait. I am having to return my truck lease very soon, and am trying to figure out if I am more then 1 month out. I had orignally hoped to recieve my new vehicle by mid august which was 6 weeks from the order date.

Re: Ordering a 2008 FEH
I would call Ford. Well, for the Mariner, actually call the Mercury Customer Relationship Center.
The Ford number is 1-800-392-3673. I don't have the Mercury number handy, but the Ford CS rep should be happy to give it to you (if not actually check for you).

Re: Ordering a 2008 FEH
When calling they say they do not have access to that information. They said to call the area customer service representative, and he said dealers only have access to that information.

Re: Ordering a 2008 FEH
Did my dealer jerk me around? I've found many other hybrids that were ordered after mine and have already been delivered. I have a copy of the order confirmation and the priority was 10, but can they change that? Did I get bit by them not earning the right to get one? I asked about quota issues several times and they denied it.
Here are the dates of my order process:
Receipt Date: 5/9/2007
Serialize Date: 6/14/2007
Segment Date: 6/14/2007
Sequence Date: 7/2/2007
Blend Date:
Produced Date:
Gate Release Date:
Ship Date:
Arrival Date:
Sold Date:
Compared to the one I posted above (and several others like it). I certainly feel like I got the short end of the stick!
They do have a dealer eta of 8/6 which would make it just under 3 months.

Re: Ordering a 2008 FEH
I never had any problems, over the past decade, in getting status info from them on Ford vehicles I had on order. And I use to call once a week just to keep tabs on my orders.
Unless that changed too, the info dealers have access to, only gets updated weekly. The phone reps had access to the right-to-the-minute info.
