I found the date at the end of the string of characters in the box near the bottom - 10 15 08 in my case. Thanks.

 

There is a lot of information in the VIN and on the widow sticker. I had a salesman try to tell me the other day they bought a '10 FFH from another dealer meaning they had a lot of money in it. When I looked at the sticker I saw it was shipped to their dealership from the factory. On the BlueOval.com site we use to get all the build stages updates as well as a copy of the window sticker before the FEH arrived at the dealership. All we needed was a VIN number from the dealer and we could get all the rest of the information from a Ford employee with access to their computer. That employee didn't like some post that a guy was posting about his dealer and Ford so he stopped posting the information request from everyone. I guess he didn't like the idea that the information he gave us might be involved in a lawsuit and his name would be involved.

I was one of the first group that got the '09 FEH who orderred it April ~22nd 2008 the first week possible. This information kept my dealer honest until they charged me $500 extra that wasn't agreed to at delivery. I no longer order cars from my old broker or that dealership.

It's a good idea I think to purchase a set of Helms workshop manuals on EBay to understand the FEH more and even look-up the VIN codes. I did this after purchasing my '05 FEH and my '09 FEH and I've learned a lot from them and passed information to others on these forums.
